Under the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party, over 6 million Jews were systematically enslaved and executed in an event called "The Final Solution". Eventually known to the world as "The Holocaust", his reign of terror came to an end in 1945 when Germany was defeated and World War II ends in Europe.
This extermination of so many people and talents caused numerous economic, political and social impacts which are still felt today. Most of the impacts are the result of the lost human resources which will take generations to replenish. Although the economies of some of the European and Russian areas have suffered and many Jewish families destroyed forever, at least the awareness of the horror and devastation that this type of event causes has been brought to long-lasting worldwide attention. This is in the hopes that mankind never repeats a "Holocaust" again.
